Our client, a leading defence manufacturing organisation, is currently seeking experienced Asembly Technicians / Electro-Mechanical Assemblers to join their team in Hampshire on an ongoing contract basis.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in building electronic equipment to the highest quality standards within the defence, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electro-mechanical products and electronic enclosures from work instructions.
  • Carry out box build, cable routing, and final mechanical assembly.
  • Install PCBs, connectors, and associated hardware into finished assemblies.
  • Perform soldering to recognised industry standards.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality procedures and manufacturing documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and ESD-compliant working environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Experience in conventional soldering.
  • Strong mechanical assembly skills using hand tools.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience working within defence, aerospace, rail, medical or another high-reliability manufacturing environment.
