Quality Inspector (Civils QC) - Contract - Rosyth - SC / SC Eligible
A leading organisation in the defence & security sector is seeking a Quality Inspector to support civils quality control across site and supplier activities within a highly regulated environment.
Location: Rosyth (on-site attendance required 3 days per fortnight for critical meetings)
Contract: Contract
Clearance:SC cleared or SC eligible (UKEO)
Key responsibilities
- Deliver quality control inspections in line with specifications, Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Undertake inspection / witnessing / surveillance across supplier and site activities
- Ensure work is completed by SQEP personnel and quality requirements are evidenced with accurate records
- Raise and support resolution of NCRs, deviations and concessions with clear technical detail
- Verify inspection and test equipment is calibrated and controlled appropriately
- Produce inspection reports and support Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) completion
- Support the NEC4 Supervisor with objective evidence and technical recommendations
Skills & experience required
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong QC/inspection background within civils / construction
- Experience in a highly regulated environment (ideally nuclear, defence, or similar)
- Confident using electronic reporting tools and MS Office
- Strong communication skills and a firm-but-fair approach
Desirable: NEC4 experience (Supervisor-related), plus exposure to specialist inspection activities (e.g. welding, NDT, coatings, electrical).
