Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join their team in either Malvern or Farnborough. In this permanent role, you will work with cutting-edge technology to enable secure, scalable, and mission-critical cloud capabilities within complex operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building and configuring cloud services to meet business and application requirements
- Monitoring cloud environments for performance, availability, cost optimisation, and security compliance
- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
- Automating deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Implementing and enforcing cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security
- Working closely with development, operations, and security teams to enable smooth application deployments
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in designing, deploying, and managing solutions in AWS
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools
- Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, VPN, load balancers, firewalls, routing)
- Strong familiarity with AWS services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
This role is based at either the Malvern or Farnborough site, with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week. Please note that all applicants for this role must be eligible for SC clearance as a minimum.
