Are you an experienced CNC Machinist with Sliding Head and/or FANUC experience looking for a long-term career opportunity within aerospace manufacturing? We are recruiting for a permanent CNC Machinist / CNC Operator to join a leading aerospace manufacturer in Farnborough. Working within a highly regulated precision engineering environment, you'll be responsible for producing critical aerospace components to the highest quality standards.
The Role
- Programme, set and operate CNC machine tools
- Run DMG MORI Sprint 32 Sliding Head machines
- Work with FANUC control systems
- Machine aerospace super alloys and precision components
- Maintain production output and cycle times
- Complete all associated production documentation
- Carry out TPM and 5S activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with the wider manufacturing team to ensure quality and efficiency targets are met
There is also the opportunity to develop your skills further through CNC Grinding training.
Requirements
Essential
- Sliding Head CNC machining experience
- Experience with FANUC control systems
- Ability to programme, set and operate CNC machinery independently
- Milling and/or Turning experience
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
- 5+ years' experience within aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience with DMG MORI Sprint 32 machines
- Milling-biased background
- Experience machining exotic metals or aerospace alloys
