Overview

Sinclair Academy is a state‑of‑the‑art Roman Catholic secondary school, opened in August 2023, serving the vibrant community of Winchburgh. Our campus boasts world‑class sports facilities, shared with Winchburgh Academy and the wider community, and offers a rich programme of extra‑curricular activities. As a developing school, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our growing team and help shape our educational provision.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality Religious Education lessons to a diverse student body.
  • Contribute to the spiritual life of the school, fostering a strong community of learning and faith.
  • Support the learning, teaching and assessment within WLC’s Virtual Academy model/programme.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the transition into the senior phase and the Broad General Education (BGE) curriculum.

Requirements

  • A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.
  • Applicants must hold the Catholic Teaching Certificate (CTC) in Religious Education.
  • Written approval by the Catholic Church and a PVG Scheme Membership or update are required. The cost (£59 for a new membership, £18 for existing members) will be borne by the successful candidate.
