Overview
Inveralmond Community High School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is committed to improvement and excellence. The successful candidate will support the vision for the school and implement strategies to achieve this vision. This is a key post at an exciting and challenging time for education in the school. Inveralmond Community High School is a comprehensive non-denominational school in the Ladywell area of Livingston and serves a cluster of six primary schools. The school roll is currently 1000 pupils. The school provides a broad education for young people from first year through to sixth year with a full curriculum. The successful candidate will have the necessary experience to support the principles of Curriculum for Excellence and the improvement agenda of the authority.
As a community school, we have outstanding facilities including sports facilities (swimming pool, two floodlit all-weather pitches), dance and drama studios, ICT suites and a multi-media library. These facilities are available to our pupils during the day and after school.

Qualifications
- Relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTC Scotland) is essential.
- This post is Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment, with the cost met by the candidate. The Full PVG Scheme Membership fee is £59 or £18 for Existing Members.
