Winchburgh Academy is a new state‑of‑the‑art secondary school opened in August 2022, designed to provide 21st‑century learning immersed in creativity and digital technologies. The school also boasts top‑class sports facilities including sports halls, a 25‑metre swimming pool and artificial‑grass outdoor pitches.
The school began with an S1 cohort, currently 250 students (S1‑S4), and the roll is expected to grow year on year to reach its 660‑pupil initial capacity by 2028. A future expansion plan could increase the roll to a maximum of 1,210 pupils. The teaching staff count is approximately 25.

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.
This position is regulated work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or complete a PVG Scheme Update check before commencing employment. The fee for a full PVG Scheme membership is ÂŁ59, or ÂŁ18 for existing members.
