22.92 hours per week, fixed term until 09 August 2026, located in Livingston, West Lothian. We are keen to employ a diverse workforce that reflects the people of Scotland. Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with all stakeholders within St Margaret's Academy to ensure a high‑quality student experience that reflects curricular design principles and student entitlements, with the ultimate aim of maximised achievement and attainment for all.
- Provide high standards of teaching and learning, supporting students to develop their full potential and to become responsible citizens, successful learners, effective contributors and confident individuals.
- Support effective systems to meet the needs of all young people, promoting personal, social and spiritual development.
- Contribute to a welcoming, peaceful, joyful and happy environment that actively develops confidence, self‑esteem and respect for religious, cultural and social diversity.
- Support the school’s high‑quality leadership and encourage active participation by parents, parish and the wider community in the life and work of the school.
Qualifications
- A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.
- Written approval by the Catholic Church will be required for this position.
- Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment. The cost will be met by the candidate (full membership £59, existing member £18).
