Building Services deliver both housing and non-housing repairs and refurbishment programmes using multi-disciplinary teams of approximately 400 operatives and 50 staff.
The key duties of this post are:
- The purpose of the job is to undertake the day-to-day maintenance or large-scale refurbishment of both housing and non-housing stock within West Lothian.
- The post holder will be expected to fulfil the job outline responsibilities/current tasks for the position of Joiner either by working as part of a team or on their own.
- The post holder may have to undertake any other reasonably required duties as instructed by the Building Services Management Team or someone acting on their behalf, in addition to the role-specific tasks & responsibilities detailed below.
The skills and experience you must have are:
- Time served Joiner
- Experience in the use of woodworking machines and of working in a busy workshop
- Building Maintenance or Construction Experience
- Customer Care Skills
- Must hold a current full UK driving licence.
- Proactive in identifying ways of improving service provision
