We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, extremely organised Event Manager to join our team. You’ll support the Head of Operations in the planning and delivering of high profile global events. The role requires extensive amounts of travel around Europe, USA, Asia and the UK.
Key Tasks
- Lead on all event planning and logistics including booking and negotiating rates for accommodation, travel, catering, and crewing.
- Manage and coordinate the set up of each event; ensuring smooth player and staff check in/arrival, room and event equipment set up complete as well as monitor the event schedule.
- Coordination with event sponsors and merchandise supplier.
- Organise and design all event branding including set branding and venue as well as negotiate and budget.
- Overseeing and budget for the planning of Hospitality at each event.
- Assisting Head of Operations with event ticketing.
- Supporting health and safety processes, safeguarding, risk assessments and event documentation.
Skills
- At least four years’ experience in event operations, ideally in Sport or live television.
- Ability to prioritise requirements and juggle an everchanging workload.
- Be able to delegate and work effectively with freelance staff within the operations team at events.
- Be flexible in approach and working patterns.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, with the ability to update team.
- Calm under pressure, experience within high pressure environments.
- Experienced and confident using Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
Key Notes
- Oversea travel is required.
- During non-event periods this is an office-based role in Brentwood, Essex.
- Full Driving License.
- Hours will be variable.
