We are seeking a Consultant in Gastroenterology to join a busy and well-structured acute hospital service in Kerry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Consultant-level care in Gastroenterology, including outpatient and inpatient services
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures
- Contribute to the acute medical take and management of complex medical patients
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across medical specialties
- Support teaching and supervision of NCHDs
- Participate in audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
Requirements
- Formal training in Gastroenterology
- Specialist registration (or eligibility) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
- Experience at Consultant level or equivalent
- Strong endoscopy experience and procedural competency
- Excellent communication and team-working skills
