Are you an indirect tax specialist? Do you want to work in a Solutions Consultant, PreSales, Professional Services role? Are you comfortable working with Mid-Market – Enterprise Corporate clients?
The company is a Global SaaS Vendor with a reputation for being a market leader with award-winning solutions. With over 30k employees and an average employee tenure of 8.5 years, you will be in good hands. Their solutions help companies navigate the complex corporate legal, financial and compliance landscape with offerings around legal, tax, trade, reporting and compliance.
You will be consulting to mid-market and enterprise corporate clients with a portfolio of industry-leading solutions. This role is to support the senior sales team with the sales cycle. The role requires the technical knowledge and experience to discuss complex tax issues facing multinationals today with a particular focus on Europe.
You will need to understand the day-to-day challenges facing companies in complying with local and global compliance and reporting obligations and be able to discuss clients' tax processes, tax technology needs and provide insight on how to improve and implement processes and technology to resolve challenges.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Working with clients to complete a needs analysis for targeted demonstrations, uncover potential objections, and present a value proposition, aligning solutions to the customers’ business needs.
- Taking responsibility for the client experience and ensuring that customer excellence is delivered throughout the sales cycle and delivery process, developing a trusted advisor relationship with client stakeholders.
- Documenting and preparing tax scenarios and use cases, offering clients a practical automation solution for the demands of determining, calculating, and reporting on Tax.

Position Responsibilities:
- Represent the company's Indirect Tax solutions to all levels of potential customers in the tax and finance teams of global companies.
- Manage multiple customer prospects, actively identify tax process issues and support the sales team in developing proposals and customer business cases.
- Lead solution demonstrations, presenting value propositions and aligning solutions to the customers’ business needs.
- Be a Europe product expert.
- Responsible for producing and maintaining demo data to present different use cases based on customer needs, develop scripts and product documentation.
- Support the preparation of technical resources for the Sales teams to use, deliver product/service enhancement presentations, and trainings to sales teams on industry and product updates.
- Work with Marketing and the Sales team on activities including white papers, webinars, events and conferences to drive new opportunities.
- Work closely with Product Management to identify industry trends, collect feedback from the field, evaluate capability enhancements and validate business cases for future development.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Extensive experience in Indirect Tax, VAT consulting at an accounting firm or within a multi-national corporation having ‘hands-on’ tax and accounting experience, or experience of demonstrating and consulting on tax software solutions.
- Knowledge of Indirect tax complex supply chain transactions and the VAT implications, along with knowledge of the Indirect AP and AR processes.
- Familiarity or understanding with ERPs (ORACLE, SAP) and/or other financial systems in aspects around the associated document flow requirements (PO’s, invoices etc) for trades in both B2B and B2C.
- A dynamic presenter and quick thinker, experienced in presenting with personal gravitas, ability to articulate the value proposition as it relates to each prospect's unique critical business tax issues.
- Customer-oriented approach with strong skills in negotiation, complex problem solving and conflict management.
- Highly entrepreneurial and ability to work across multiple teams/parts of the organisation.
- Ability to successfully work in an agile environment, thrive amidst ambiguity and adapt to shifting circumstances.
- Resourceful and highly organised self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and operate successfully in a complex, dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and continuously evolving environment.
