Have you worked for a start-up or scale-up software company? Are you passionate about solving clients' real problems and making a difference in their business? Do you have 5+ years' commercial development experience in NodeJS?

Our client, a VC-backed software vendor, believes in a world where all businesses have the confidence that they will get paid for their work. They are an international team all focused on making a huge difference, so they have lots of ideas and are incredibly driven. We support and care about each other; there's no room for egos, the only agenda is making sure everything they do is to the best of their abilities.

They are looking for a pro-active, analytical Node (Backend) Software Engineer to join a growing team. You will have an entrepreneurial and empathetic mindset that propels you to commit to delving deep into the user experience, the challenges they face, and how to improve the product. You'll also come with strong collaboration skills and the ability to document proper requirements for short-term and long-term projects.

Node (Backend) Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Design, development and testing of new features in the applications
  • Implement, test, and bug-fix functionality
  • Work with and support the product manager on new initiatives and features development
  • Participate as a team member in fully agile Scrum deliveries

Node (Backend) Software Engineer Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience developing applications in Node.js
  • Experience with MongoDB or other non-relational databases
  • Experience in a start-up and scale-up software company
  • Experience in remote working
  • Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications
  • Follow best practices and design patterns
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • No visa sponsorship. Must work in the UK.
  • UK standard hours (flexibility 8/9am - 4/6pm)
