The Programme manager will be required to lead the Future Operating Model (FOM) transformation, including design and delivery of a new organisation-wide structure and operating model, the coordination and leadership of all associated workstreams and transformation activities.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Leading the Delivery of the Future Operating Model Programme: Shaping and driving the successful delivery of the FOM programme, ensuring it progresses at pace, maintains strategic alignment, and delivers the intended organisational outcomes.
  • Coordinating All Service Design and Implementation Work: Defining, organising and integrating the full set of service design and implementation workstreams required to bring the new operating model and organisational structure to life.
  • Planning and Managing a Complex Portfolio of Projects: Structuring and overseeing multiple, interdependent projects, ensuring plans capture dependencies, milestones and deliverables, and remain achievable and coherent.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Desirable: Programme management qualifications (e.g., MSP, MoP, AgilePM)

Knowledge and experience

  • Significant experience leading operational change management in complex organisational transformation.
  • Proven ability to assess and manage change impacts, readiness, and embedding change into operations.
  • Deep understanding of people, culture, and behavioural change levers.
  • Experience of matrix-managing distributed change agents and SMEs.
  • Familiarity with business change governance structures and escalation paths.

Skills and abilities

  • Proven experience of delivering complex, multi-strand transformation programmes in large organisations.
  • Significant experience managing organisational design, restructuring and people impact programmes.
  • Expertise in programme governance, planning, risk and issue management, and benefits realisation.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across all organisational levels including senior leadership.
  • Strong background in managing multi-disciplinary teams and third-party providers.
  • Looks ahead for potential problems and takes preventative or mitigating actions in advance.
  • Communicates the true status of programmes and does not attempt to give only good news.
  • Change management and business/operational readiness.
  • Strategic thinker able to simplify complex problems into actionable delivery plans.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple concurrent change activities.
