We are looking for an AI native, mid-level Angular Developer to take ownership of our PWA.

You'll work alongside our existing Ionic (Android) and Swift (i OS) developers, and you'll play a key role in a piece of technical exploration we're prioritising this quarter: proving out whether our Angular codebase can be extended, using Ionic and Capacitor, to also produce our Android app from a single shared codebase — and eventually i OS too.

If that proves out, this role has real scope to grow into owning both our web and mobile delivery.

This is a hands‑on AI‑driven development role, not just maintenance.

We want someone who treats their editor and their AI tools as inseparable — someone who is genuinely excited about how much faster and better software can be built when AI is woven into every part of the workflow, not bolted on as an afterthought.

Someone who is doing this now, not dreaming of it for the future.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Developing and maintaining our Angular PWA, including new features, performance work, and day-to-day bug fixes.
  • Leading a proof-of-concept to package our existing Angular codebase as a native Android app using Ionic and Capacitor, working from our Git Lab repositories.
  • If that proof-of-concept succeeds, extending the same approach to i OS, validating native functionality along the way.
  • Writing clean, well‑tested, maintainable Type Script/Angular code, and reviewing others' code with the same standard.
  • Actively using AI coding tools (e. g.

Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) as a core part of your daily workflow — for scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, debugging, and documentation — and helping the wider team get more out of them.

What we're looking for

  • 3–5 years of professional experience with Angular (Type Script, Rx JS, component architecture, standalone components/modules).
  • Solid understanding of PWA fundamentals (service workers, offline support, performance budgets).
  • Comfort working directly with Git/Git Lab, including branching workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Fluent, daily use of AI coding tools as a working practice, not an occasional experiment — we want to see this in how you talk about your own workflow, not just as a bullet point on your CV.
  • An insatiable curiosity about applying AI to development — you follow what's changing in the space and bring new techniques back to the team.
  • Comfortable exploring unfamiliar territory: this role starts with an open technical question ("can we do this?") rather than a fully specified task list.
  • Nice to have
  • Experience with Ionic and/or Capacitor.
  • Experience shipping an app to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  • Exposure to Swift/i OS development, even at a basic level.
  • Experience in gaming, gambling, or bingo/casino products.

Hybrid role based around our Tunbridge Wells office, with flexibility on remote days.

How to prepare for a job interview at Match Bingo

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Match Bingo uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
