MatAlytics is a University of Nottingham spin‑out commercialising a fundamentally new class of physics‑based AI for real‑time asset integrity and lifetime assessment. Our platform, CITRUS, combines high‑fidelity finite‑element simulation with physics‑informed graph neural networks to predict stress, creep, fatigue and damage accumulation in critical industrial assets, delivering results over 300,000× faster than conventional methodologies while remaining physics‑faithful and audit‑ready. We are working with leading power generators, heavy industry, OEMs and infrastructure operators across the UK, Europe and the US, and are now scaling our commercial function.
The Role
We are looking for a commercially driven, technically fluent Account Manager / Technical Sales Lead to take ownership of early‑stage and scaling customer engagements. You will sit at the interface between engineering, AI and enterprise customers guiding prospects through the full sales funnel, from first technical discussions to commercial close and long‑term account development. This is a high‑impact role with direct exposure to C‑suite decision makers, asset owners, and engineering leadership in global industrial organisations.
What You’ll Do
- Own and progress qualified leads through the full sales funnel
- Engage directly with asset owners, engineering teams, digital and reliability leaders
- Lead technical discovery, positioning CITRUS against incumbent tools and methodologies
- Translate complex engineering and AI concepts into clear commercial value propositions
- Develop proposals, commercial structures and pilot/PoC programmes
- Manage and grow early customer accounts into long‑term strategic partnerships
- Work closely with product, engineering and leadership to shape roadmap and pricing strategy
- Represent MatAlytics at industry events, workshops and technical meetings
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of experience in technical sales, account management, solutions engineering or industrial B2B commercial roles
- Strong technical background, ideally engineering (mechanical, materials)
- Comfortable engaging with senior engineering, digital and executive stakeholders
- Proven ability to move deals from first conversation to commercial close
- Commercially driven, structured, and self‑starting
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify highly technical concepts
- Experience in power, heavy industry, manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, infrastructure or digital twin markets is a strong plus
