As a VM Manager, you are responsible for delivering high visual merchandising standardsacross the store, ensuring clear and impactful product presentation that enhances thecustomer experience.
You will consistently deliver the Matalan brand by executing company guidelines in aconsistent and visually engaging way, while aligning displays with commercial priorities.
Usingyour understanding of customer behaviour and sales performance, you adapt layouts andhighlight key products to drive sell-through, ensuring all visual activity supports overall storeperformance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the delivery of Visual Merchandising standards across all departments in line withcompany guidelines by ensuring all areas of the store consistently reflect Matalan’svisual standards; making adjustments where necessary to maintain a high quality, cohesive in store experience.
- Plan and coordinate seasonal launches, campaigns and visual changes to ensuretimely and consistent implementation.
- Work closely with the Store Manager and Regional Visual Manager to align visualpriorities with store performance and commercial goals.
Ensure that visual activitydrives commercial impact and enhances the customer journey.
- Coach and develop store colleagues and VM advisors to build visual capabilities andmaintain high standards.
Provide ongoing training and guidance to colleagues in orderto strengthen their visual merchandising skills.
- Lead by example through fostering a culture of accountability and continuousmprovement while ensuring all colleagues understand and execute VM standardseffectively.
- Oversee day-to-day product presentation and availability through the maintenanceof tables, displays and key visual areas.
- Coordinate visual activity outside of peak trading hours to minimise disruption andsupport customer service during trading.
- Maintain planogram integrity and visual principles across all departments to ensureconsistency.
Regularly make necessary adjustments while balancing commercialneeds with brand standards.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve visual presentation to support sellthrough and highlight key product areas.
- Use commercial awareness and insights to refine displays, spotlight key products andreact quickly in order to maximise sales potential.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards across all mannequins; ensuring styling, product presentation, and overall brand aesthetics are consistently executed to apremium standard, while managing the ongoing upkeep, care, and presentationquality of mannequin fixtures.
- Own and manage all in-store POS activity, including the ordering, distribution, setup, and implementation of POS materials, ensuring timely and accurate execution acrossstores.
