We are looking for Trainee Technologists to help provide technical support to the Tech team and drive the whole product technology process from the initial creation of design packs / technical specs, through to gold seal approval, assuring consistency and quality.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with buying teams preparing samples for fitting with correct submission forms, size charts and testing where applicable.
- Attending fit sessions, taking notes, photographs, measuring products.
- Should have understanding of pattern, construction and quality standards.
- Approve wash and care label information with support from Technologist.
- Accompany and support the technologist on store visits, comp shops and various other projects.
- Ensuring Fibre composition details are correct on internals ecommerce team needs.
- Supporting technologist on DC QC concerns and providing assistance with picking samples and measuring products.
- Support the Supplier Manual updates and including the onboarding process.
- Keep manuals and best practice document up to date.
- Regular website monitoring – reviewing images/descriptions/data and reporting.
- Learning and development of new skills and expanding technical knowledge.
- Supporting across multiple product areas as required with business need.
- Clearly communicate technical information to suppliers with use of PLM.
- Run returns data and review e com reviews supplying data to relevant technologist.
- General administration tasks for the Technical department.
- Supporting management of the quality group queries.
Qualifications
- Highly organised with good prioritisation skills and has a willingness to learn.
- Has the ability to work alone as well as in a team and show initiative with problem solving.
- PC literate with experience of working with Microsoft Office packages.
- Understanding of basic pattern amendments and fit issues.
- Ability to assist in fit sessions.
- Clear understanding of testing and legal requirements.
- Data and system management.
