General Sales Assistant – Christmas (Temp) – Warrington

About the Role
As a General Sales Assistant within our stores, you’ll deliver an efficient and reliable service to our customers, placing the customer at the heart of everything we do. You will be a customer advisor achieving our sales while living our Matalan values; maintaining a high-performing, energetic and adaptable energy—ensuring an in-store customer experience that aligns with our standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service on the shop floor, till area and stock room
- Assist customers with product selections, inquiries and transactions
- Support in-store operations, including stock replenishment and visual merchandising
- Maintain a friendly, inclusive store environment and adhere to Matalan values
- Collaborate with store team to meet sales targets and deliver a positive customer experience
Requirements and Qualifications
- Availability to work over the Christmas period (including Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day as rota permits)
- Previous experience in retail is desirable but not required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Salary and Pattern
Salary: National Minimum wage
