Job Description We are looking for an experienced Electronics Inspector to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection and quality checking of electronic assemblies throughout the production process, including populated PCB assemblies, cable and harness assemblies and complete unit assemblies. \n This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will work closely with our production teams to ensure that assemblies meet the required drawings, specifications and quality standards. \n Previous experience in PCB inspection or electronics manufacturing is important. Experience of AOI inspection would be advantageous, although it is not essential for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities\n Inspect populated Surface Mount (SMT) PCB assemblies to component level. \n Inspect populated conventional/th through-hole PCB assemblies to component level. \n Inspect cable assemblies and harnesses. \n Inspect completed electronic unit assemblies. \n Carry out full First-Off Inspections and provide approval prior to production runs on PCB assemblies, cables and unit assemblies. \n Identify and record defects and discrepancies against drawings, specifications and other relevant production documentation. \n Provide constructive feedback to production operators where faults or quality issues are identified. \n Carry out additional quality checks and inspection activities within the SMT department when required. \n Complete relevant quality documentation and inspection records accurately. \n Assist with the packing of finished goods for local and UK shipments. \n Work closely with production and other departments to maintain high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process. About You\n You will need to be highly accurate, methodical and organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within agreed timescales. \n Essential: \n Previous experience within an electronics manufacturing environment. \n Good understanding of electronic assemblies and PCB construction. \n Ability to inspect electronic assemblies to component level. \n Excellent attention to detail and a consistently high level of accuracy. \n Ability to read and work from drawings, assembly documentation and other production information. \n Comfortable using fine tools and optical inspection equipment. \n Good written and verbal communication skills. \n Ability to complete basic administration and maintain accurate quality records. \n Reliable, self-motivated and committed to producing high-quality work. \n Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team. \n A flexible and constructive approach to working with production colleagues. \n Desirable: \n Previous experience in PCB inspection. \n Experience using AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) equipment. \n Previous PCB production/assembly experience. \n Knowledge of quality management systems. \n Knowledge of relevant electronics workmanship standards, such as IPC standards. \n Experience of reworking electronic assemblies. \n Experience inspecting cable and harness assemblies. Hours of Work\n Permanent, full-time position: 40 hours per week \n Monday to Thursday: 8:00am 5:00pm \n Friday: 8:00am 2:00pm \n 30-minute lunch break \n Some flexibility may occasionally be required.
