About the Role

Masterstaff recruitment agency is currently seeking an experienced IT / Computer Systems Assistant on behalf of our client, a well-established company operating in the technology and electronics sector based in Lancaster. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong computer skills and hands-on experience using Excel and Java-based software to join a growing and stable business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Confident daily use of computer systems and software applications
  • Working extensively with Microsoft Excel (data entry, reports, tracking)
  • Using and supporting Java-based software programs
  • Maintaining accurate digital records and system data
  • Assisting with general IT and system-related tasks
  • Identifying and resolving basic software or system issues
  • Supporting operational and administrative processes through IT systems

Essential Requirements

  • Strong experience using computers and multiple software programs
  • Advanced or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Proven experience working with Java software, Linux, Lan

  • Experience using ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira is desirable
