We are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder / Fabricator to join our client’s growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stable employment, overtime opportunities, and excellent workplace facilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fabrication and welding work across a variety of production and project-based tasks.
The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for:
- Fabrication using jigs, bench work, and assembly on larger projects
- MIG welding with mild steel and aluminium of various gauges and grades
- Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings
- Carrying out production work and occasional repair work
- Working on both one-off items and batch production
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience MIG welding mild steel and aluminium
- A strong understanding of fabrication techniques
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings independently
- A strong focus on quality and high standards of workmanship
Training will be provided for candidates who have not previously worked with aluminium.
Pay and Benefits:
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 4:45 pm
- Salary from £15.50 per hour, depending on experience
- Overtime available weekly with a bonus scheme
- 30 days paid holiday per year
