Job Title: HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician Location: Bolton Salary: £15.00 – £19.00 per hour (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Job Overview We are currently looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team in Bolton. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HGV vehicles to ensure they remain safe and roadworthy. Key Responsibilities * Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV vehicles * Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults * Perform inspections and MOT preparation * Repair or replace parts including brakes, suspension, engines, and gearboxes * Complete job sheets and maintenance records accurately * Ensure all work is completed to safety and compliance standards Requirements * Previous experience working on HGV vehicles is essential * NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) preferred * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Good attention to detail and work ethic Benefits * Competitive hourly rate based on experience * Overtime available * Pension scheme * Training and progression opportunities Apply now with your CV to be considered
