For nearly 30 years, Masterclass has been delivering exceptional sports tours and events across the UK and Europe to over 3,000 students annually — with football at the very heart of what we do. From elite coaching experiences and competitive tournaments to fixtures against academy and development sides, we create professionally organised football tours that give young players access to unforgettable experiences. Through our established relationships across Europe, including links with professional clubs and respected training facilities, we provide schools and teams with opportunities that go beyond the ordinary tour.

Whether it’s football in Spain or Holland, netball festivals or multi‑sport events, the Masterclass team ensures every detail is expertly managed. Our reputation is built on deep sector knowledge, trusted industry relationships and a genuine understanding of what schools, coaches and young athletes expect from a first‑class sports tour. Every aspect of a Masterclass event is designed to deliver total peace of mind for group leaders while creating lasting sporting memories for students.

This role will be based in our Brighton office, with a hybrid working pattern that includes two days per week working from home. Remote working is however a possibility for the right candidate. We are seeking an experienced football tours professional with a strong business development mindset to support and grow the MasterClass football portfolio. This position is ideally suited to someone already working within the football travel or sports tours industry who understands the market, the stakeholders and the commercial landscape. If you currently operate within football tour delivery, academy fixture coordination, grassroots football travel or sports event management — and are looking to join a well‑established specialist brand — we would be keen to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing and delivering high‑quality UK and overseas football tours and events
  • Proactively generating new business opportunities within schools, clubs and football organisations
  • Building and developing relationships within the football sector, including schools, clubs, academies and suppliers
  • Hunting out new opportunities for football growth within the MasterClass brand
  • Using your existing industry knowledge to ensure smooth operational delivery from enquiry through to tour completion
  • Supporting the commercial growth of our football portfolio
  • Identifying opportunities to grow repeat business, referrals and multi‑year tour programmes
  • Working closely with overseas partners and venues to maintain and grow our European football links

You will play a key role in shaping the future growth of the MasterClass football programme, using your market knowledge and relationships to identify new opportunities, drive enquiry conversion and increase the long‑term value of our client base.

What we are looking for:

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with prior experience in the sports tours or football travel industry. You will bring:

  • Experience working within a sports tour operator, football travel company or related sports events environment ideally in a sales, account management or growth‑focused role
  • A strong understanding of the football market, both grassroots and school sport
  • An existing network of contacts within the football sector, with the ability to activate and develop these relationships commercially (highly desirable)
  • Confidence balancing business development activity alongside repeat customer‑based account management.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and organisational skills
  • A proactive, opportunity‑focused mindset with the ability to spot gaps, create solutions and close business
  • A passion for delivering outstanding football experiences for young players

Candidates with established football industry connections and the ability to leverage these relationships to strengthen and grow our offering will be especially attractive.

Some of the benefits:

  • Hybrid working pattern (Brighton office with two days per week from home), remote working will be considered
  • Opportunities to travel overseas on familiarisation trips
  • 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays and a bonus day off for your birthday; we also have a tenure‑based annual leave benefit, up to a maximum of an additional 5 days depending on length of service
  • Global recognition and reward programme
  • Access to extensive online learning resources
  • In‑house training opportunities
  • Various employee discounts and offers, including discounted trips with our brands

Diversity and inclusion:

We believe that people are happier and perform best when they are able to be their true selves and that diverse teams deliver better results. We are committed to building an inclusive culture and embracing diversity in all its dimensions. This includes inspiring change through increasing awareness of unconscious bias. Together we will cultivate a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment, where everyone can flourish.
