We’re looking for a passionate and energetic scrum master to guide and help grow one or two small teams new to Agile and Scrum. A role model that enacts Agile behaviours and the ability to mentor others on the Agile mindset, behaviours, frameworks, and practices. You are a strong mentor, someone experienced and confident with coaching at both the team and the leadership level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expected to embed Agile practices, optimise team performance, be the servant leader and mentor the team day-to-day in a complex programme landscape
  • Coach and mentor the development team on self-organisation, cross-functionality, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and priorities
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the team’s progress
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment
  • Promote transparency, communication, and effective collaboration within the team and across departments
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work
  • Continuously improve the team’s agile practices and processes
  • Adapting Agile ways of working to a traditional organisation takes its first tentative agility steps
  • Balancing practical application of Agile practices (today) while continually challenging the team
  • Help Product Owner and organisation to improve ways of working while working with an emerging network of Agile coaches to improve the organisation (tomorrow)

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar agile project management role
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with Scrum and agile methodologies
  • Excellent facilitation and coaching skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management
  • Experience in managing and resolving conflicts within teams
  • Familiarity with agile project management tools and software
  • Familiarity with software development practices and technologies
  • Knowledge of other agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Lean) is a plus
  • Exceptional facilitator, someone who can build psychological safety within their teams and help protect and shield their teams from outside distractions

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in Polish language for effective communication
  • Experience in leading a scrum team within a recognised or homegrown Agile scaling framework would be advantageous
