We are seeking a visionary and innovative Vice President of Software Engineering to lead our engineering team focused on building cutting‑edge real‑time payments (RTP) technology. As the VP, you will have deep product development experience, demonstrating a profound understanding of crafting high‑quality, scalable products. Role Overview- Oversee the management of the Software Engineering function and act as the highest authority on high‑level and complex decisions within the function.
- Work with business/product owners to develop and deliver new services, introducing new products and bundles.
- Work on complex enterprise‑wide initiatives spanning multiple services/programs and drive resolution.
- Emulate and drive Mastercard Way behaviours through your actions, recognitions, coaching, and employee engagement.
- Manage and optimize budgets, forecasting, and cost allocation while delivering on business needs.
- Provide strategic thinking and leadership on a wide range of application types, architectures, and software development methodologies.

- 5+ years of experience in leading and managing engineering teams, preferably in a distributed and agile environment.
- Proven track record of delivering high‑quality and value‑added software platforms or products, as well as ensuring alignment and collaboration with the product, engineering, and customer success teams.
- Strong knowledge and experience in quality strategy, metrics, standards, and best practices, as well as quality tools, methods, and techniques, such as testing, debugging, troubleshooting, reporting, and documenting.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate quality issues and risks, and propose and implement effective and efficient solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization and with external parties.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower the quality team, as well as foster a quality culture and mindset across the organization.
