We are looking for an experienced Product Manager with strong leadership and commercial skills, combined with a keen entrepreneurial mindset, to develop and deliver the global commercialisation plans for the strategically important Payment Passkeys product. Mastercard Payment Passkeys are a key part of executing Mastercard’s vision to Reimagine Online checkout – greatly enhancing the online checkout experience for consumers with biometrics. The successful candidate will evaluate and assess opportunities for scaling payment passkeys globally and at pace, working across global and regional stakeholders to build out a commercialisation plan and scale best practices worldwide. Since Passkeys is in a pilot stage, the candidate must work closely with Product teams to understand customer feedback and prioritize product development to enable scaling. The ideal candidate is passionate about driving product growth and scale, highly self-motivated, and able to prioritize effectively to maximize business benefits. Analytical, data-driven, with project management skills, and capable of building consensus and challenging norms when necessary, are essential qualities for this role.
The candidate will share responsibility for achieving the Product’s Key Performance Indicators and will primarily focus on executing a strategy to rapidly scale Payment Passkeys. Responsibilities include:
- Becoming a global expert on the Product, understanding its strategy and role within Mastercard’s Authentication and Online checkout initiatives.
- Developing, owning, and managing the go-to-market and expansion plan for Payment Passkeys across Acceptance, collaborating with global, regional, Acceptance, and Product teams to translate product vision into actionable plans based on commercial insights.
- Synthesizing customer feedback and pain points to inform the product development roadmap, focusing on developments that deliver the most commercial impact and accelerate scaling.
- Refining the positioning of Passkeys within Mastercard’s wider authentication strategy and its influence on key products like Click to Pay and Secure Card on File.
- Helping senior management understand product performance, identifying obstacles, and devising solutions.
- Managing product reporting, KPIs, and business reviews with global and regional teams.
- Understanding and articulating challenges related to scaling across customer, technical, and regulatory areas, and recommending solutions.
- Serving as a product subject matter expert, supporting internal and external communication and training, and engaging with customers directly if needed.
- Using a data-driven approach to identify opportunities, influence product development, and contribute to the product roadmap.
- Creating educational and awareness materials for internal teams and external partners.
- Driving thought leadership initiatives to promote Passkey adoption, understanding customer needs, and monitoring competitive trends.
- Supporting regional development of customer pipelines to facilitate Passkey transaction growth and product success.
- Incorporating broader payment ecosystem factors (regulatory, legal, technological, competitive) into ongoing product management.
- Leveraging knowledge of Mastercard’s business, systems, and customer needs for informed decision-making.
