Title and Summary
Manager, Product Management Overview:
Our Interchange Solutions team within the Commercial New Payment Flows (CNPF) organization is seeking a Manager, Product Management to own, manage, and develop key solutions that enable the speed-to-market and scalability of our B2B Interchange Programs. This role is critically product focused on technical solutions leveraged by customers to manage interchange and acts as a central link between CNPF and multiple teams involved in the interchange management solutions across Mastercard.
The ideal candidate has experience in Product Management, background in technical Product Ownership and/or Analysis, a strong understanding of Interchange, and general knowledge of B2B corporate/commercial payments. This person must be a proactive problem-solver and an effective communicator who can translate technical complexity into clear stakeholder guidance and educational materials. We are pursuing a highly motivated individual with a strong achievement orientation, intellectual curiosity, and an end-to-end product mindset.
Role
General Product Responsibilities & End-to-End View
- Act as the product specialist being the connector across Product, Engineering and other teams involved in the interchange management solutions, driving use cases and functionality for Commercial customers.
- Ensure a well-rounded, end-to-end understanding of interchange management solutions from a technical perspective, including solutions’ implementation for customers.
- Drive solution roadmap via proactively seeking user feedback and finding the most optimal ways to implement changes with the available resources, and/or shaping compelling reasoning for additional resource allocation.
- Leveraging cross functional collaboration skills, ensure a globally cohesive customer onboarding and support model.
- Ensure relevant items and roadmaps are kept on track to support the growth of the B2B Interchange Programs.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and a sense of urgency when confirmed ownership for a feature, fix, or initiative.
- Become an expert in wholesale travel payment solutions, B2B payments and Virtual Cards to provide consulting to customers, external partners, and internal stakeholders.
Domain Expertise & Education
- Become a deep expert in the core interchange management solutions’ functionality (including their Core aspect) as well as the enhanced features for Commercial customers.
- Cover a 360 view of the solutions, from an idea to requirements, testing, sales and customer implementations.
- Own the internal and external education on the technical and product intricacies of these solutions, translating functionality into cohesive materials.
Strategic & Proactive Planning
- Be proactive in clarifying areas of uncertainty and spotting technical or process gaps to advise on the roadmap, potential fixes, and required coordination.
- Assess and drive the product enhancement roadmap based on a customer lens perspective and alignment with internal stakeholder needs.
- Develop business cases and financial projections related to the solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Utilize project management excellence skills with cross-functional teams (Core, Billing, Franchise, etc.) for the introduction of new products and solutions and life cycle management of existing products and programs.
- Support Mastercard high-profile/priority partners during requirements, implementation, and operational phases with expertise and technical support. Take ownership of program queries and report and respond in a timely manner.

All About You
- Demonstrated Product Mindset with experience navigating complex products that sit between engineering, technical, and business stakeholders. Background should reflect a product orientation over a purely technical/engineering one.
- Highly preferred deep understanding of the Mastercard core network or general payment network/key processes such as authorization, clearing and settlement.
- Ability to go very granular on further understanding how our interchange technology works today and can be enhanced in the future.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to proactively identify issues (technical/process gaps) before they develop into problems.
- Excellent ability to coordinate, communicate, and translate complex technical product information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated and energetic with some experience operating within a cross-functional team environment, including acquirers, issuers, and customers.
- Experience with agile prioritization techniques such as WSJF, MoSCoW.
- Advanced xls and ppt skills and being/becoming proficient with Mastercard Information tools such as Enterprise Reporting, MyMPA, and Power BI.
