Title and Summary
Manager, MI & Reporting, Controls Office Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Controls Office function for Vocalink Limited, a company that enables the payments of 90% of salaries, 70% of utility bills, most ATM transactions and every cheque cleared in the UK. The successful candidate will become part of a high functioning team, dedicated to delivering a robust, secure and resilient service to 60+million citizens every day with transactional volume of 11 billion/year and total annual transactional value in excess of GBP6 Trillion.
The appointee will be responsible for ensuring timely, relevant and actionable MI and reporting of Vocalink’s control posture and related actions as we constantly strive for improvement. The role holder will provide MI and reporting to meet the needs of the function, broader Vocalink business and discharge the Controls Office reporting obligations to our customers, executives and boards.
Need to be proficient at gathering and analysing data from multiple sources to identify performance, trends and areas that require focus.
Limited Controls function across the key pillars of Controls Governance, Controls Management, Controls Testing, Assurance, and Issues Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying relevant control and issue data across the Vocalink business that evidences control management and testing
- Enhancing that data through automation where possible, and through ensuring the data is service specific as well as Enterprise wide
- Reviewing data analytics and trends to support the assessment and management of the control environment and enable appropriate escalations
- Providing clear and concise reporting to key governance fora, including the Vocalink executive and board committees and key customer forums, including the use of MI dashboards, leveraging appropriate data visualisation tools
- Providing constructive challenge and advice to data / reporting contributors to ensure accuracy and quality
- Own and develop Controls Office Data Dashboards, providing information on control managements, control operation and to evidence standard / process adherence
- Leading on changes to key Vocalink or Mastercard data tools / applications on behalf of the Controls Office, to ensure the team’s needs are adequately addressed through the provision of use cases
- Provide Secretariat support to key governance fora, where required including the preparation of reporting packs and minutes.
Knowledge, Skills and Expertise (technical / role specific)
Essential – You have the following
- Experience: a strong understanding of how to enable data visualisation (e.g. through a tool like PowerBI), experience in data analysis to create insightful reporting, ideally in a risk and controls or compliance environment within financial services, experience of developing and enhancing the production of data which enables key business decisions.
- Stakeholder management: the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels to understand their business and how to use Data to demonstrate compliance and risk reduction.

Desirable – You have the following
- Educated to at least an undergraduate degree
- Experience in Risk Management, Controls Management and Assurance, preferably in a regulated firm.
- Relevant experience of working in a complex (preferably multi-national) stakeholder environment that includes complex customers and regulators.
