Overview

In this role you will lead executive-level cybersecurity advisory for Europe, shaping Mastercard’s cybersecurity strategy with top customers and influencing product roadmaps.

You’ll build trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, and boards, translating security concepts into business outcomes and growth.

You will drive thought leadership, market insight, and regional expansion of Mastercard’s Field CISO capability, helping customers achieve risk reduction and digital trust.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the intersection of security, sales, and product, offering visibility at the executive level.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as trusted advisor to senior customer executives (CISO, CIO, CRO, Boards)
  • Provide strategic guidance on cybersecurity, resilience, fraud, and digital trust
  • Translate security concepts into business outcomes and risk reduction
  • Lead executive briefings and strategic customer engagements
  • Strengthen executive relationships and position Mastercard as cybersecurity partner
  • Capture customer insights to influence roadmaps
  • Partner with Product/Engineering to align solutions with security needs
  • Identify market opportunities and security challenges in Europe
  • Support strategic customer opportunities with Sales, Product, and Services teams
  • Articulate business value of Mastercard cybersecurity solutions
  • Contribute to revenue growth, retention, and executive satisfaction
  • Represent Mastercard at industry events and CISO communities
  • Develop executive content (presentations, white papers, blogs)
  • Advise on industry trends, threats, and emerging risks
  • Drive executive alignment across Security, Product, Engineering, Sales, Services
  • Scale and mature Field CISO capability globally
  • Key requirements
  • Leadership experience in cybersecurity or related fields
  • Experience as CISO or equivalent senior cybersecurity leader
  • Proven ability to advise executives on strategy, risk, resilience, and transformation
  • Experience with large enterprise customers and executive decision makers
  • Background in regulated industries preferred
  • Strong executive presence and influence with C-suite/Boards
  • Exceptional communication to simplify complex concepts
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in global, matrixed organizations
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity strategy, risk management, cloud security, identity/Zero Trust, privacy, fraud, digital trust, cyber resilience, AI security, regulatory frameworks
  • Understanding of enterprise buying processes and executive decision-making
  • Recognized industry leader with conference/Forum speaking experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
