The Vice President of B2B Marketing for Corporate Solutions & Industry Verticals is a transformative leader responsible for driving the growth, adoption, and customer engagement of our corporate payments portfolio. This role is responsible for shaping and executing marketing strategies that advance Mastercard’s brand among key commercial buying audiences—both financial institutions and priority corporate verticals, such as B2B travel—while accelerating key business outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in marketing strategy, operational excellence, performance management, and, ideally, the corporate banking ecosystem. The VP B2B Marketing partners closely with Product, Strategy, Commercialization, Sales Enablement and the broader Marketing organization to ensure the portfolio’s differentiated value is delivered across geographies, customer segments, and direct, network, embedded and partner go-to-market channels. This requires strong, proactive communication skills, the ability to drive consensus across audiences and a strong desire to build trust-based relationships that enable fast decision‑making in a dynamic environment.

The Role

  • Strategic Portfolio Leadership
    • Lead the transformation of Corporate Solutions portfolio marketing to a unified, scalable, and customer‑centric approach.
    • Develop and execute data‑driven marketing strategies that position the Corporate Solutions portfolio for accelerated growth—supporting Mastercard’s ambitious commercial payments growth ambitions, with a special emphasis on high‑growth verticals.
    • Champion a unified, customer‑centered value story, ensuring consistent messaging and storytelling across products, channels, and functions.
    • Drive awareness and engagement for the portfolio by partnering with other marketing functions to execute a concerted multi‑channel marketing plan, focusing on C‑suite decision makers and user personas.
    • This includes the development of a robust content strategy (white papers, social media, etc.) and convening strategy (including hosted and sponsored events).
    • Activate demand by working with team members to improve conversion within existing funnels and opening new routes to revenue through partner and network motions.
    • Lead and direct a team of product marketers in establishing the foundational marketing strategy across the portfolio, including audience definition, value positioning, campaign design, and product prioritization, ensuring marketing focus aligns to growth opportunities.
  • Team & Stakeholder Leadership
    • Lead and inspire a geographically and functionally diverse team of product marketers, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Build team capabilities in stakeholder communication, business alignment, and visibility of marketing impact.
    • Provide clear direction, feedback, and professional development opportunities, building a highly motivated and successful team.
    • Serve as a hub lead for the broader London‑based marketing team, providing counsel and mentorship and serving as a standard bearer of cross‑team priorities, objectives and ways of working.
  • Market Expertise & Influence
    • Serve as the expert on buyer personas, competitive landscape, and strategic go‑to‑market motions for the Corporate Solutions portfolio, including building use‑case narratives, and helping drive the portfolio’s focus on enabling a complex, highly fragmented B2B digital payments ecosystem.
    • Influence cross‑functional teams and regional leaders to drive adoption and sales of portfolio solutions, leveraging insights to inform strategy and execution.
  • Performance Management & Measurement Evolution
    • Deliver regular updates on marketing performance, ROI, and market trends, providing actionable recommendations to drive portfolio growth.
    • Develop and implement new measurement frameworks that align marketing impact with revenue mechanics, including tracking influence and behavior change across network, channel, and embedded revenue models.
    • Lead recurring business reviews for the Corporate Solutions portfolio, offering a holistic view of marketing impact and sales enablement.
  • Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Alignment
    • Act as the central liaison for the integrated portfolio marketing plan, building strong collaborative relationships across Communications, Product, Sales, Partner, Brand and Marketing Operations teams.
    • Partner across Marketing and Communications teams to drive priority enterprise activations across the globe.
    • Ensure seamless communication and alignment of objectives, driving unified marketing strategies for portfolio priorities.
    • Partner across global and regional teams to develop standardized sales enablement tools and training programs.
    • Collaborate with channel partners to turn them into true advocates, maximizing surround sound impact with media and at key events.
  • Innovation & Future‑Readiness
    • Explore and embrace next‑generation marketing technologies that will up‑level how we work and deliver greater efficiency and impact.
    • Prepare for the next evolution of the business by developing scalable, fit‑for‑purpose marketing systems, including hyper‑personalization and agentic motions.

All About You

  • 10+ years in B2B Product Marketing and go‑to‑market roles, ideally with knowledge of Financial Institutions/Commercial Banking.
  • Knowledge of the B2B Travel space is a plus.
  • Proven success in large, complex matrix organizations and high‑growth, customer‑centric teams.
  • Deep understanding of B2B positioning, demand generation, and funnel management.
  • Experience managing and/or co‑owning product/portfolio P&L in a growth business.
  • Demonstrated team leadership, including managing managers and building high‑performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B, technology, payments / financial services, SaaS, or global enterprise environments.
  • Background in performance marketing, product marketing, or revenue operations.
  • Experience building scalable operating models for fast growing organizations.
  • Experience partnering with major account sales teams.
