Overview: The Global Network Economics & Value Optimization (NEVO) team:

  • Partners across regions and global business units to execute changes in economics aligned to product- and market-led strategy under a consistent strategic framework.
  • Advocates and drives revenue optimization, simplicity, enhanced customer and employee experience, and adherence to principles.
  • The team has a privileged position with visibility into impactful initiatives across the organization, providing members the ability to influence and enrich many commercial conversations, through innovative and strategic thinking.

Role: Director, Global Pricing & Interchange Strategy will support MasterCard's goal of profitable market share through several key initiatives. This position will play a key role in developing & implementing pricing and interchange strategies, building new tools to inform how we set our pricing and interchange, and conducting analysis as needed on strategic questions & issues.

  • Identify and develop creative solutions, with a strong analytical and fact-based foundation, and lead teams toward its implementation.
  • Develop and refine strategies that are consistent with our business objectives cross-regionally.
  • Leverage and contribute to developing models and frameworks for assessing pricing and interchange through competitive benchmarking vs. cash/check and the value created and delivered to each part of the four-party system.
  • Conduct strategic analysis as needed to help evaluate new ideas, benchmark across MasterCard's products and services, and inform decisions on pricing and interchange levels.
  • Contribute (with rest of team) to the development of global pricing & interchange strategies and roadmap.
  • Partner and liaise with several stakeholders across the organization conducive to advance assigned projects.

All About You:

  • Experience applying financial and business management principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Experience with financial modeling (e.g., Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite, data mining, python, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Ability to turn data into meaningful information and present it in a concise, professional manner for senior management review.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA highly desirable.
  • Limited global travel but required as needed.
  • Requires capability to train and develop more junior staff.
