All About The Role As a Services Business Lead for the UK&I, you will play a pivotal role in driving Mastercard's Services growth on the Acceptance-side ecosystem. This role focuses on two key areas:

  • Business Development – Build and expand relationships with PSPs and non-traditional acceptance-side partners (such as orchestrators and ISVs), identifying opportunities to deliver joint value and accelerate adoption of Mastercard Services solutions.
  • Acquirer Innovation Hub (AIH) – Lead BD related activities related Market Wide AIH workstreams, identify thematic needs and trends across AIH Acquirer members and shape strategies that unlock new business opportunities to secure recurring revenue streams and user-pay models.

Key Responsibilities Acquiring Innovation Hub Shape Market Wide workstreams to foster collaboration and innovation across acquiring partners. Identify common challenges and themes across acquirers and translate these into actionable AIH proposals for Account Leads and UKI Division. Develop strategies to unlock new business opportunities, focusing on recurring revenue streams and user-pay models. Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics to inform innovation priorities and strategic direction. Act as a thought leader on the future of acquiring within the UK&I ecosystem and work in close collaboration with Advisors Client Services (ACS), Digital Labs and SSO.

Business Development Identify and develop new business opportunities with PSPs and non-traditional acceptance-side partners (e.g. Orchestrators, ISVs). Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and joint initiatives. Support the creation of tailored proposals and business cases that demonstrate clear value for partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives.

Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field required; MBA or postgraduate degree desirable. Proven experience in payments, acquiring, or acceptance-side business development. Strong understanding of PSPs, acquiring models, and acceptance ecosystem dynamics. Demonstrated ability to lead strategic workstreams and identify growth opportunities. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.

Skills & Competencies Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Collaborative mindset with ability to influence across teams and levels.

Corporate Security Responsibility Abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices. Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed. Report any suspected information security violation or breach. Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines.
