An experienced Products and Solutions Director required by the RTP Global Program to define solutions and build out the value propositions for specific customers or market segments, leveraging the RTP Global product portfolio and associated Mastercard products.

The RTP Global Program team has developed a range of account‐to‐account payment services, which are sold globally to national schemes and in the future directly to banks. The role will focus on growing our revenue opportunities by creating compelling solutions for customers by selecting the most appropriate RTP/Mastercard products based on their current and roadmap capabilities and defining the localisation required to meet customers' most pressing needs.

Experience in working with A2A Payment schemes coupled with knowledge of A2A infrastructure products for instant and batch would be very helpful in this role. The candidate should also demonstrate experience working in a complex multi‐stakeholder environment, possess a strong technical and analytical background, and exhibit excellent communication and influencing skills to guide customers in understanding the value of Mastercard's solutions.

Role
  • Lead the elicitation and analysis of customer requirements, both functional and technical, to the level that can be articulated both externally to clients and internally.
  • Determine the solution based on the best fit of RTP/MA products and define the enhancements/configurations that would be needed.
  • Support the estimation process by presenting the functional and technical changes to the internal teams providing the estimates.
  • Review and challenge the estimates.
  • Create presentations showcasing customer requirements, RTP/MA product capabilities and solutions and present this to the customer and internal teams.
  • Be responsible for the functional/solution sections of bid response documents to describe the solution and its benefits.
  • Use knowledge of corporate and product strategy to strategically align product solutions and customer proposals and feed this back into strategy.
During Design And Specification Phases
  • Work directly with customer counterparts to educate on existing product capabilities and analyze customer needs, and subsequently be responsible for functionally documenting the requirements to be met by the Product(s) including the required configurations or enhancements.
  • Provide traceability back to customer requirements from the Bid Stage by ensuring the functional requirements are mapped back to customer requirements from the bid stage (where applicable).
  • Support the estimation process by presenting the functional and customer‐driven technical changes to the internal teams providing the estimates.
  • Be accountable for having a deep understanding of the RTP Global Product portfolio, and related MA products.
  • Provide the Customer Account Manager (CAM), accountable Product Manager or Business Development leads (RTP or Regional) with their solution expertise in crafting the customer solution.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of market dynamics including Regulatory, Legal, Competitive and Technology landscapes.
  • Collaborate with cross‐functional partners within Product, Engineering and Service teams to ensure a coherent end‐to‐end solution is defined.
  • Work with colleagues in Sales/Business development and Legal, Data Privacy, Delivery, Finance, Marketing, Sales, etc. to ensure that the proposed solution is commercially viable.
During The Build, Testing And Implementation Phases
  • Provide support and collaborate with internal Mastercard teams to resolve customer and internal queries.
  • Review documentation produced by the customer and other internal Mastercard teams, e.g. training material, Message Implementation Guides (MIGs), Industry Test Cases.
  • Through collaboration, traceability and review ensure that requirements are successfully designed and subsequently tested.
  • Provide input to Impact Analysis for Change Requests and update the Functional Specification once the Change Request is approved.
  • Support the estimation process by presenting the functional changes to the internal teams providing the estimates.

This is a senior role which comes with management responsibility; however, it is also a hands‐on role, as one is expected to produce specifications and sales responses. Management responsibility includes acting as a role model to other team members and providing thought leadership and actions to develop and grow the team.

  • Have strong analysis, technical and problem‐solving skills coupled with a desire to learn and a curiosity to understand products, systems and processes.
  • You will have a proven track record in Business Analysis and/or Solution Architecture within a complex change environment and the ability to discuss and understand solution details.
  • Be an experienced and customer‐centric professional in a regulated environment who has been part of a cross‐functional team and managed elements of a cross‐functional project with demonstrated success building relationships and delivering results with global, multi‐cultural and remote teams.
  • Have experience of interaction with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, through participation in meetings, workshops and events, and be a strong, confident writer and speaker, able to communicate both requirements and solutions effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Have a strong track record of synthesizing products and services from multiple functional areas into customer solutions that align with regional or local customer needs.
  • Be a proven leader in leading teams across geographies and functions acting as a role model for others.
  • Be willing to travel internationally as appropriate.
In Addition, Desirable Experience Is
  • Experience in the payments industry.
  • Demonstrated experience as people manager with the ability to attract, recruit and develop product talent.
  • Experience with the bid process, including RFP/RFI, stakeholders involved and writing compelling customer proposals.
