Overview

Mastercard seeks to expand its commercial payments business in Europe by developing and growing product and solution portfolios for large market B2B and Travel & Entertainment, supplier payments and embedded finance technology partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow commercial products and solutions for large market B2B and Travel & Entertainment, supplier payments and embedded finance technology partnerships.
  • Grow commercial spend volumes & revenue with an end‑to‑end approach, identifying and activating opportunities with new or existing customers across the European region.
  • Partner closely with issuers and local market stakeholders to drive scalable opportunities in commercial payments.
  • Set commercial and B2B sales strategy using a segmented approach toward banks, corporates, and partners.
  • Manage rigorous pipeline across all segments, coordinating with regional and local product development and account management teams.
  • Introduce commercial cards and non‑card solutions to the market, including expense management, virtual cards, B2B payments, working capital, supplier acceptance & onboarding, and business intelligence.
  • Prospect, contact, and contract new customers and business partners through direct contact, international meetings, events, conferences, and lead‑generation activities.
  • Lead key decision‑maker conversations with new and existing customers.
  • Enhance ongoing business development relationships through forums, webinars, and customer trainings in the commercial payments, T&E, and B2B space.
  • Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of accessed information, reporting any suspected violations or breaches, and completing all mandatory security trainings.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Excellent commercial payments experience and knowledge in the industry, with deep understanding of B2B and T&E payment flows, purchase‑to‑pay processes, and card economics.
  • Multi‑year track record of successfully introducing and selling existing and emerging B2B commercial payments solutions.
  • In‑depth experience creating, executing, and managing business development strategies involving B2B payments, P2P technologies, commercial cards, and travel payments.
  • Proven ability to build meaningful relationships with multinational customers and C‑Level executives.
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to build trusted partnerships internally and externally.
  • Consistent achievement of business growth targets.
  • Comfortable with roles requiring discretion, integrity, and agility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate solutions and value propositions to senior stakeholders.
  • High self‑motivation, autonomy, and a “can‑do” attitude, with strong customer focus.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills highly preferred.
