We are looking for a high impact Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support the Finance function in Europe and to act as a Business Partner for Mastercard Business Development Europe (MDE) and the Strategy Function. This role is a core part of the European finance setup, partnering closely with Business Development and Strategy leaders to provide financial insight, commercial rigor, and decision support across complex deals, partnerships, and growth initiatives. The role also involves thorough analytical work on Europe’s finance performance, coordination of Strategic KPIs, and involvement in the broader finance analytics initiative. The position offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic topics, and fast‑paced commercial decision making in a highly visible European role.

Responsibilities

  • Supports annual budget and quarterly performance reviews & forecast cycles, enabling efficient & effective execution of key planning deliverables.
  • Supports the alignment of regional & corporate processes and outcomes during the budgeting and quarterly performance review cycles.
  • Provides insights & analytics on financials and manages opportunities & risks.
  • Embodies leading beyond finance by partnering with regions, business units, business partners and corporate to assist in developing, analysing and validating new business opportunities.
  • Assists with strategy and process improvements related to budgeting, forecasting, systems and other key areas to ensure alignment with market objectives.
  • Supports revenue‑generating activities such as new product/service launches & pricing initiatives.
  • Developing & improving monthly reporting & analysis package for the Divisions across Europe.
  • Acting as a trusted representative of the Product/Sales teams towards the Finance organization & vice versa.
  • Engaging with the Europe Product and Sales team by providing valuable feedback and analysis to stimulate objective achievement and overall development of the business, while remaining compliant with financial guidelines and processes.

All About You

  • University degree in Finance or Economics.
  • Computer literate with knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel, Business Intelligence tools; Power BI is a valued plus.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast‑paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • High standards of accuracy and precision.
  • Good organisational, data management and analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and to perform well under pressure.
  • Team‑oriented with the ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fast learner, able to link diverse sources of information and handle confidential information.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in any other language is a plus.
