Overview
As Manager, Site Reliability Engineer, you lead a small SRE team supporting Card Transaction Services and Faster Payments within Vocalink.
You balance line management with hands-on technical work to deliver reliable production outcomes.
You’ll shape the production support strategy, drive automation, and mentor engineers to grow their skills and well-being.

Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and support to team members
- Support recruitment activities including interviewing and onboarding
- Promote employee engagement, wellbeing and retention
- Support succession planning and talent development within the team
- Act as escalation point for people-related matters with HR/senior leadership
- Contribute to continuous improvement in BASE24 production support
- Drive production support innovation and automation opportunities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement effective solutions
- Investigate production issues and perform root cause analysis

- BASE24 experience; related technologies in live production environment
- HP Non Stop systems
- Pathway, Golden Gate, and electronic file transfer tools
- TACL, TAL, COBOL, SQL (Enscribe), Enform
- TACL scripting
- ATM Driving; Card authentication, authorization, and EMV standards
- Protocols and standards such as ISO8583 and LIS5
- HSMs, cryptology and TLS
- Experience in 24/7 production support
- Experience in financial services or payments environments
- Knowledge of ITIL practices, change and release management
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and team-based delivery
- Experience with functional and non-functional deployments
