Role of the Director, Technical Program Manager (Scrum Master/Team Coach)
Vocalink are looking for an experienced Scrum Master/Team Coach to take on a leadership role within an Agile environment, specifically in the context of a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) to lead a group of Scrum Masters who are supporting teams within an Agile Release Train or independent Agile Teams.
The responsibility focuses on providing guidance, support and development for the Scrum Master/Team Coaches to enable them to assist the team in meeting their delivery goals as well as being a key member of one or more Agile Teams to assist in meeting their delivery goals and is responsible to facilitate and ensure that the Lean and Agile principles and values are being followed within the team for improved speed and quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Embody a Lean-Agile mindset
Guide the Scrum Masters/Team Coaches to mature in their Lean-Agile practices by modelling the values and principles of Lean thinking and the Agile Manifesto in their daily interactions.
Personally demonstrate the SAFe Core Values and inspire others to adopt these beliefs.
Internalise and be able to demonstrate to Scrum Masters/Team Coaches how they can be guided by the SAFe Principles.
Champion Continuous Improvement
Maintain the momentum of continuous improvement.
Maintain the Enterprise level improvement backlog to support continuous best practice.
Lead the Scrum Master’s Community of Practice to enable the Scrum Masters/Team Coaches to strengthen their skills and learn from each other.
Lead the Scrum Masters to complete Competency Assessments and guide them in maturity the proficiency of their Agile Teams.
Connect with VMO and APMO governance practices to identify training and coaching needs or opportunities for Scrum Masters/Team Coaches
Influencing senior stakeholders and coaching them on the behaviours Lean-Agile leadership
Coaching Flow
Guide the Scrum Masters/Team Coaches to use the tools to analyse data to visualise and identify opportunities to improve the flow of value across the teams and ART.
Identify opportunities across the organisation to introduce systems to make work visible. Provide guidance on managing Work in Process to improve Flow.
Support the Scrum Masters/Team Coaches to introduce appropriate Flow metrics and accelerators. Help the organization use data to validate flow improvements and inform further steps.
Lead discussion across the organisation about improving the flow of value. visualising value streams and removing impediments. Nurture a flow-oriented mindset through one-on-one conversations and group discussions.

Adaptability to adjust to changes in requirements, team dynamics, priorities and continuous improvement.
People management including but not limited to coaching and mentoring to support through influence (rather than command and control) to empower the team rather than dictating tasks.
