Overview
In this role you drive growth for Government and Retail & Commerce segments by initiating contact, qualifying leads, and promoting Mastercard’s Data & Services solutions. You will manage a portfolio of clients post-close, expanding revenue and deepening relationships across buying centers. The position spans global markets and cross-functional teams, with a focus on data-driven insights, loyalty, and business experimentation. You’ll work with senior stakeholders to craft innovative customer strategies and help transform how clients leverage Mastercard capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify leads for D&S solutions in government and retail & commerce
- Promote Mastercard products and services to new and existing customers
- Manage post-close client relationships and grow revenue across buying centers
- Own the sales process from prospecting to contract execution
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue projections
- Collaborate with team members to move opportunities to signed deals
- Foster cross-team collaboration to drive collective sales success
Key requirements
- B2B sales experience, preferably in government and retail
- Experience selling data/analytics/insights, loyalty, or professional services solutions
- Proven ability to sell to C-level clients
- Strong communication and persuasion skills (written and oral)
- Ability to influence stakeholders across markets and divisions
- Ability to learn technical terms and understand complex products
- High energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
