The Global Acceptance team is responsible for growing the reach of where people can pay with Mastercard and the quality of the payment experience. This growth accelerates the shift of payments to cards from cash and other sources; fueling Mastercard’s core and services businesses. The Marketing Director, Global Acceptance is member of the larger Global B2B & Product Marketing organization that works closely across the Product, Marketing, Communications and Regional teams to drive the adoption and usage of Mastercard Acceptance solutions. This role will require strong cross-functional leadership and coordination to leverage multiple Mastercard assets and deliver a single voice externally.
Role
- Develop B2B marketing strategies and assets to fuel the go to market plans for in-person acceptance solutions across multiple ecosystem partners
- Function as point person to coordinate Acceptance marketing actions with other business units, including small business, strategic growth, and global partnerships to increase overall impact
- Take a central role in the articulation of value propositions, competitive differentiation and messaging for new and existing solutions
- Work closely with the Regional B2B & Product Marketing leads to drive scale and improvement across regions and markets
- Partner closely with the Acceptance Product organization and customer facing teams, building a strong and efficient operating rhythm
- Lead content management, campaign design and execution, creative production, agency management for B2B, B2C and B2B2C materials
- Develop B2B2C assets and initiatives with our partners to accelerate product usage in target industries and use cases
- Infuse customer insights into overall marketing approach from primary and secondary sources
- Ensure all content and creative execution lines up with Mastercard brand standards
- Partner with Marketing Operations to track performance vs. goals and benchmarks
- Manage marketing budget
About You
- Considerable marketing experience, particularly in B2B, Product and B2C marketing
- Strong leadership and standing with skills to influence in a global, cross-matrixed organization and engage directly with senior leadership
- Sensitivity for multi-cultural, diverse backgrounds of partners and target audience
- Strategic mindset with ability to make quick decisions in challenging, ambiguous situations
- Ability to write a clear, concise brief and manage creative/production resources to complete it
- Motivated self-driver able to manage multiple complex/cross-geography projects with speed
- Demonstrated curiosity, agility and rapid learning on new competitors, technologies, and products
- Experience deploying AI to facilitate tasks and workflows
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
- Expertise in payment industry, merchant or acquirer, payment facilitator, fintech a plus
