Title and Summary
Director, People Business Partner The Director, People Business Partner, Core Payments has primary responsibility for advancing a comprehensive talent strategy, which addresses all aspects of the employee lifecycle and organization design and development, in support of business-wide strategic goals and performance. Core Payments is the foundation of Mastercard, with its focus on delivery of seamless and secure payments through its products and platforms as well as our comprehensive real-time payments capabilities. Core also includes innovation in acceptance, consumer value propositions and optimization capabilities among other areas.
The portfolio for this People Business Partner role includes Acceptance and Merchant Solutions, which encompasses both Enterprise Gateway Solutions and our acceptance capabilities. The People Business Partner will design and implement a strategy that supports the needs of Acceptance and Merchant Solutions, while aligning to the overarching strategy of Core Payments and Mastercard. This position reports to the Executive Vice President, People & Capability, Core Payments.
Role:
• Responsible for the development and implementation of talent strategies and initiatives, and management of people and organization activities for the assigned portfolio.
• Act as a positive cultural change agent, consultant and business advisor to the leadership team, enabling the execution of their business strategies and initiatives.
• Partner with Mastercard’s Centers of Excellence and regional People Business Partners to develop strategies and initiatives designed to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Serve as an advocate for employees and develop and implement initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement, development, and productivity.
• Manage and perform a wide range of P&C activities including, but not limited to strategic alignment, leadership development and succession planning, organization design, compensation assessment, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations management, and employee coaching.
• Manage employee relationships on a proactive basis, with a business-oriented approach, and employee relations matters, consistent with local market practices and legislation
• Partner with Finance to manage the budget and forecasting of expenses related to employees and all other P&C activities.

• Strong business acumen coupled with efficient project management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability drive the people and culture agenda with speed, agility and quality.
• Knowledge of and experience with local employment laws and practices.
• Ability to travel domestically and globally, as needed.
