The Director, Global Consent – Data Management, is responsible for establishing a data management structure that incorporates Mastercard’s Data & Tech Responsibility Principles into Open Banking globally. This role will partner across markets to define data scopes necessary to deliver innovative use cases with partners, establish a data services layer to empower data science, including AI and ensure compliance with market regulations. Data responsibility is at the core of Mastercard’s business and this role is a critical function to establish consistency globally while supporting flexibility to accommodate differences across markets.
- Open Banking Data Strategy: Establish a global data management strategy across Open Banking products that extends into open finance use cases.
- Establish a common data model that supports: Consented vs. non-consented data, Licensed vs. unlicensed use cases, Regional and market-specific data requirements (e.g., FCRA, CDR, 1033, etc.)
- Partnerships: Deepen collaboration across product, markets, engineering, data science, Compliance and Enterprise Data teams to deliver on business objectives and maintain alignment with Mastercard’s enterprise approach to data management. Drive alignment with legal and compliance on data retention, minimization, and usage.
- Roadmap Execution: Define product requirements to enable a global data services approach – in alignment that defines data usage requirements for consented data, and variations of that model.
- Data Management: Own documentation, onboarding guides, and developer data specs related to data flows and fields.
- Customer Focus: Establish data usage requirements that keep consumers and businesses in control of their data and empower partners to innovate for next generation financial experiences.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the data services platform and drive continuous improvement.

Technical proficiency with a deep understanding of system dynamics, platforms and API designs to optimize solutions for clients and users. Data science experience to connect data access, data rights with modeling to achieve tangible business outcomes. Mission driven to operate in the Mastercard Way: Move Fast, Create Value, and Grow Together. Understanding of Open Banking with proficiency in core use cases (e.g. account opening, payments, lending). Creative problem solving that brings in different perspectives connecting client needs with Mastercard strategy. Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams. Team builder with strength in connecting people and ideas across the business and geographies. A bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Role is not available for fully remote work.
