Title and Summary

Director, Business Administration – Supplier Management

OVERVIEW

The Bank of England recognizes Vocalink as a Specified Service Provider of critical national infrastructure to multiple Recognized Payment System Operators (e.g., PayUK, LINK).

This means Vocalink is regulated by The Bank and relevant RPSOs. As part of our regulatory obligations, we have rules around engaging with and managing our suppliers and associated risks.

The Supplier Management function ensures we uphold our obligations to regulators by understanding our supply chain and actively governing it within appropriate frameworks.

Vocalink operates its own Supplier Management Framework aligned with regulatory and industry standards. The team maintains key governance documentation and evidence in a separate repository.

ROLE

This role collaborates with internal stakeholders, other Vocalink and Mastercard functions (Risk, Security & Regulatory Compliance, Sourcing), and external suppliers. Responsibilities include:

• Deploying and managing the Supplier Management Framework to mitigate risks
• Identifying gaps, providing coaching, and upskilling
• Conducting regular assessments and tracking improvement plans
• Developing and delivering a monthly MI Dashboard with relevant metrics
• Maintaining an up-to-date artefact repository for supply chain transparency
• Reviewing and updating frameworks to meet evolving needs
• Engaging proactively with critical and key suppliers
• Designing solutions with stakeholders, defining requirements, testing, and implementing
• Managing risk mitigation and remediation with suppliers
• Ensuring alignment with risk management, operational resilience, sourcing, and third-party risk management
• Implementing industry and regulatory requirements
• Coordinating supplier involvement in contract negotiations and extensions
• Leading intercompany relationship management and agreements
• Managing operational resilience and O&TPRM commitments
• Improving risk and control maturity
• Supporting Mastercard\’s ESG strategy
• Reviewing key documentation annually
