The Post Processor Engineer II supports the Mastercam product line in the creation and maintenance of post processors, machine simulation models and kinematics for a variety of CNC equipment. This position supports customer success, while ensuring alignment with Mastercam's standards and service level agreements. The Post-Processor Engineering role may be aligned globally or regionally based on business needs. Must be located in the UK.
How You’ll Drive Success
- Prioritize, manage and execute post processor projects efficiently and effectively based on departmental standards.
- Take direction from the Product Owner, Scrum Master, senior team members and Manager to ensure customer success.
- Build, develop and maintain libraries of machine components and tool libraries.
- Maintain Mastercam post processors and machine environments for various CNC equipment.
- Provide post processor support, training and professional service implementations for customers, channel partners, Tier 1 and Tier 2 developers, OEMs, partners, in alignment with Mastercam's standards and service level agreements.
- Collaborate and provide product direction for internal stakeholders within Mastercam.
- Create test data to maintain manual and automated tests of Mastercam post processors.
- Engage with channel partners, and/or customers remotely or onsite to gather feedback and validate machine environments and post processors to ensure quality through testing.
The Talents We’re Seeking
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 6-9 years of experience working with CNC machines/controls, including but not limited to multi-axis mill, Mill-Turn and Turning; FANUC, Siemens, ISO or similar.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing industry, CAD/CAM software, CNC Machining and related hardware.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once, projecting a positive outward demeanor.
- Proven experience with C/C++ programming language or similar.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international.
Required Technical Skills
- High degree of understanding 2-dimensional trigonometry and 3-dimensional mathematics, including but not limited to vector and matrix manipulation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and convert 2-dimensional drawings into 3-dimensional geometry using CAD tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, JIRA, Salesforce or similar platforms.
