We have exciting opportunities for clinicians to work within the Mastercall community IV team based in Stockport. IV Therapy has been proven to be a cost-effective way to treat patients while enhancing the patient experience. Our clinicians are experts in the delivery of IV medication and in the management of patients with venous access devices. The service supports hospital discharges for patients requiring IV therapy treatments in the community; local oncology departments to assist with the management of treatments and facilitates GP referrals to avoid hospital admissions.
As well as delivering IV therapy to patients in the comfort of their own homes, you will also be working in our designated IV clinics located at Mastercall Healthcare. We are looking for dynamic clinicians with experience in IV administration, cannulation, and care of all venous access devices. The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills, an aptitude for caseload and time management, and a desire to deliver the best service possible for our patients.
We have 28.5 hours per week available working on a flexible rota. The service hours are operational between 08:00 to 22:00, 365 days a year: this is comprised of an 08:00-18:00 shift and a 12:00-22:00 shift. Pay rates - In Hours £21.16 Out of hours £25.39 per hour. You must have permanent right to work in the UK as we are unable to offer graduate or visa sponsorship, and no visa extensions can be offered for this role.
Main duties of the job:
- To manage and provide infusion therapy to patients in their own home or attending a community clinic.
- Liaise with the health centre team and colleagues across the wider social and health care environment to promote, maintain and enhance effective multidisciplinary patient care.
- To act as an autonomous practitioner to provide specialist advice to patients and staff which contributes to assessment, diagnosis, care and treatment of clients receiving infusion therapy.
- Possess and demonstrate extended skills in the management of vascular access and intravenous infusions.

Person Specification:
- General Qualities: Communication and decision making skills, motivational and organisational skills.
- Qualifications: Registered first level nurse/Paramedic, UK driving licence and own car to be used for work purposes, degree or able to demonstrate evidence of study at level 3/4, Non-Medical Prescriber.
- Experience: Relevant and current experience in Primary Care.
