We are currently searching for highly talented, very motivated HVAC Service Technicians for all of our busiest locations: Chadd Ford, PA/ Dover, DE/ Lewes, DE/ Newark, DE.
JOB SUMMARY/ OBJECTIVE
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heating and cooling systems. The service technician will demonstrate technical competency and ensure desired sales metrics and KPIs are met by leading customers to informed and confident buying decisions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performing maintenance and repairs on residential and light commercial HVAC systems including but not limited to gas and oil furnaces, hydronics, heat pumps, air conditioners, ductless systems and geothermal.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair and perform system maintenance.
- Thorough document findings and present options to customers based off their best interests and their needs.
- Complete assigned residential service calls and maintain communication with dispatch throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of various refrigerant types, gases, electrical voltages.
- Participate in continued HVAC training.
- Ensuring code compliance and follow all safety procedures and practices.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated spaces.
- Ability to work in attics and tight spaces.
- Ability to work in a multitude of weather conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Working knowledge of boiler systems.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Great communication skills to establish customer rapport and encourage repeat business.
- Goal-oriented.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule accommodate the needs of the organization.
- Clean driving history and valid Driver’s License.
- Clean criminal background history and pre-employment drug screen.
- Energetic, positive, and self-motivated.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
- 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field
- EPA Certified
- NATE Certified
