The Role

As Head of Trade Sales, you will own and lead the UK trade wholesale channel, developing and executing a clear growth strategy, strengthening key accounts, and expanding our partner network across the UK’s most exciting hospitality businesses. You will sit at the intersection of commercial leadership and cross-functional delivery, playing a key role in the long-term success of Master of Malt's trade channel.

  • Develop and deliver the UK trade sales strategy aligned to ambitious growth targets.
  • Own the full commercial picture — including forecasting, investment, and ROI.
  • Analyse performance data to identify risks, opportunities, and growth drivers.
  • Lead National Accounts and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Identify new opportunities across regions, segments, and partnerships.
  • Represent Master of Malt Trade at key industry events and trade shows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Buying, and Operations to deliver impactful initiatives.
  • Ensure pricing, promotions, and trade marketing land effectively across the channel.

You’ll lead and develop a high-performing team, creating an environment where people can do their best work. Coach and support team members to deliver against commercial goals. What we are looking for

  • Proven senior sales leadership experience in the UK spirits, drinks, or FMCG sector.
  • Strong track record in B2B / on-trade / wholesale channel management.
  • Experience leading and developing field-based or distributed sales teams.
  • Commercial acumen: comfortable owning commercial deals and forecasting.
  • Established network within UK hospitality, bars, restaurants, or wholesale.

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a premium or craft spirits brand.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce or digital-first retail models.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business.
