We're looking for an Events Manager to take ownership of our growing events programme across consumer, trade, and industry events.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves turning plans into reality, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys seeing the direct impact of their work.
Whether you're coordinating a major trade exhibition, launching a festival activation, or driving sales at a Christmas market, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional events from concept through to execution and reporting.
- What you'll be doing
- Own and deliver our consumer events programme
- Build and manage an annual D2C events calendar across Maverick Drinks brands.
- Identify and secure opportunities at markets, festivals, seasonal events, and consumer activations.
- Manage all event logistics including venue booking, licensing, staffing, stock, compliance, and on-site operations.
- Create engaging customer experiences that drive sampling, sales, and social engagement.
- Recruit, train, and brief event staff to represent our brands confidently and professionally.
- Measure success through sales performance, conversion rates, sampling activity, and ROI reporting.
- Lead brand activations and partnerships
- Identify opportunities for high-impact brand awareness activations at festivals and consumer events.
- Develop creative activation concepts in partnership with the marketing team.
- Coordinate stand builds, production, staffing, and event execution.
- Ensure every activation delivers a premium and memorable brand experience.
- Manage trade events and industry shows
- Own the trade events calendar, including key industry exhibitions and distributor events.
- Coordinate logistics, staffing, stock allocation, and promotional materials.
- Support lead generation and post-event follow-up activities.
- Deliver insightful post-event reporting and recommendations.
- Drive operational excellence
- Maintain a rolling 12-month events calendar.
- Manage budgets, supplier relationships, and event reconciliation.
- Build repeatable processes, toolkits, and best practices to improve event delivery.
- Provide clear reporting and insights that help shape future investment decisions.
What we're looking for
You'll likely have
- 5+ years' experience in events management, ideally within drinks, FMCG, hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced consumer environment.
- A proven track record of delivering events from planning through to execution.
- Experience managing budgets, suppliers, staffing, logistics, and multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse revenue, costs, and ROI.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of outcomes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to brief, train, and motivate event teams.
- Good working knowledge of Google Workspace and reporting tools.
- A passion for premium drinks, consumer brands, and creating memorable experiences.
You'll thrive here if you are...
- Highly organised and love bringing structure to complexity.
- Commercially minded and focused on results as well as experiences.
- Equally comfortable planning an event six months out or rolling up your sleeves on-site.
- Calm under pressure and adaptable when plans change.
- Someone who enjoys building scalable processes rather than reinventing the wheel every time.
- Happy to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends when events require it.
