We are looking to appoint a caring, proactive and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to support teaching and learning in a Year 4 class from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with the class teacher to help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel supported and able to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher with daily learning activities
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
  • Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning
  • Promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing and engagement
  • Contributing to a calm, purposeful classroom environment

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children and building positive relationships
  • Is patient, flexible and able to use initiative
  • Has good communication and teamwork skills
  • Understands the importance of inclusion and safeguarding
  • Can support pupils with a range of learning and emotional needs
  • Has experience in a primary school setting (desirable but not essential)
