Masterclass Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded SEN all-through school in Worthing to recruit a dedicated and compassionate KS3/KS4 SEN Teacher to join their team. The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible lessons to a KS3 or KS4 class, adapting learning to meet a wide range of needs and abilities. Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and pastoral teams, you will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
- Develop and implement personalised learning strategies.
- Foster positive relationships that support pupil engagement and wellbeing.
- Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and external professionals.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
- Experience teaching KS3 and/or KS4 pupils.
- Previous SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- A flexible, patient, and resilient approach.
- Passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
- ECTs with relevant SEN placement experience are encouraged to apply.
